​This seven-story parking garage was constructed in 1983 with post-tension slab-poured concrete beams and columns. Lakdas/Yohalem Engineering, Inc.'s scope of work included design services and construction engineering inspections for the Riverwalk Garage restoration. The restoration consists of correcting deficiencies identified as priorities, such as concrete repairs, waterproofing repairs, drainage repairs, and limited railing upgrades for safety purposes.

This city parking garage is a four-story concrete garage spread over approximately one city block. This project included the evaluation of the structural damage, preparing temporary and permanent construction design and documents, and construction phase engineering services of the structural restoration for the City Hall garage for the City of Fort Lauderdale. Lakdas/Yohalem Engineering, Inc. performed a structurally damaged evaluation, prepared preconstruction documents, performed permanent corrective work, and provided construction phase engineering services.

Project Description: Condition Surveying, Structural Restoration
​​The 6-story parking garage was constructed with beams, columns, and a double T precast concrete deck. This project consisted of Designing a new connection to enhance the structural stability and comply with new wind requirements for the 2000-space parking garage. Lakdas/Yohalem Engineering, Inc., was responsible for design and construction services for this project.

The garage is approximately 152,000 square feet and accommodates approximately 440 standard spaces, with nine designated handicapped accessible spaces. The services provided Included a structural condition survey, the preparation of construction documents specific to corrective work, and the preparation of bid documents.
